‖ pilidium Nat. Hist.|paɪˈlɪdɪəm| [mod.L., a. Gr. πιλίδιον little cap, dim. of πῖλος a felt cap.] 1. Zool. A name given to the cap-shaped larvæ of some species of Nemertean worms, formerly considered as a distinct genus.
