1895Westm. Gaz. 20 May 8/1 Dr. Unna recognised the disease as ‘piedra’, which is chiefly met with in Colombia. 1898P. Manson Trop. Diseases xxxvii. 587 Piedra is supposed by some to be induced by the mucilaginous hair applications in vogue among the Colombians. |
