picoline Chem.|ˈpɪkəlaɪn| [mod. f. L. pix, pic-em pitch + ol-eum oil + -ine5: so in mod.F.] A colourless liquid compound (C6H7N) obtained from bone-oil, coal-naphtha, tar, peat, etc., having an intensely powerful smell.
