phæodarian, a. and n. Zool.|fiːəʊˈdɛərɪən| [f. mod.L. Phæōdāria neut. pl. (Haeckel), f. phæōdium, f. ϕαίος dusky + -odium (see -ode1).] A. adj. Belonging to the Phæodaria, a division of Radiolarians characterized by a mass of dark pigment (phæodium), containing rounded granules (phæodellæ), surrounding the central capsule. B. n. A radiolarian of this division.
