Ellis to elements of speech produced by ‘the bellows-action of the lungs’; comprehending the ordinary aspirate (h) in its varieties, and the ‘wheeze’, Arabic {arHa}, ‘arising from suddenly forcing breath through the cartilaginous glottis’.
