‖ Arcades ambo|ˈɑːkədiːz ˈæmbəʊ| [L. phr. (Virgil Ecl. vii. 4), lit. ‘both Arcadians’, i.e. both pastoral poets or musicians.] Two persons of the same tastes, profession, or character (often derogatory).
