[ad. late L. perspicābilis that may easily be beheld (Ammianus, Augustine), f. *perspicārī = perspic-ĕre to see through, look closely into, perceive, behold. Cf. L. conspicābilis, f. conspicārī beside conspicĕre.]
1. That can be seen through, transparent.
