† perˈfrigerate, v. Obs. [f. ppl. stem of L. perfrīgerā-re, f. per- 2 + frīgerāre to make cool.] trans. To cool or chill through or thoroughly. So † perfrigeˈration [also in mod.F.], the action of cooling or condition of being cooled through.
