perbenzoic, a. Chem.|pɜːbɛnˈzəʊɪk| [f. per-1 5 b + benzoic a.] perbenzoic acid: a colourless crystalline solid, C6H5CO·O·OH, which is a widely used oxidizing agent, esp. for epoxidation reactions.
