pen-tail|ˈpɛnteɪl| [f. pen n.2 + tail n.1] In full, pen-tail(ed) tree-shrew. A species of tree-shrew, Ptilocercus lowii, found in Malaysia, Sumatra, and Borneo, and distinguished by rows of long, stiff hairs fringing the end part of its tail.
