penfieldite Min.|ˈpɛnfiːldaɪt| [f. the name of Samuel L. Penfield (1856–1906), U.S. mineralogist + -ite1.] A basic lead chloride, Pb2Cl3OH, occurring as very small, usu. prismatic crystals that are colourless and transparent when pure.
