Macneil, which indicates the amount of resistance offered by the surfaces of roads, of different constructions, to the passing of wheel carriages, etc. 1875Knight Dict. Mech., Peirameter,..a clumsy form of dynamometer, being dragged along on the ground. The power required to move it is indicated by a finger on a dial. |
