[ad. L. pedārius: see prec. and -ary1.]
1. Of or relating to a foot or to the feet; in quot. used absol. or ellipt. with pl. = A pardon or indulgence for a pilgrim (who had vowed to perform a pilgrimage on foot).
1537tr. Latimer's Serm. bef. Convoc. D j b, Some brought forth Canonizations,..some pardons and these of wonderful varietie, some Stationaries, some Iubilaryes, some Pocularyes for drinkers, some manuaries for handlers of reliques, some pedaries for pilgrimes, some oscularies for kyssers.
