An infection produced by a bacterium of the genus Pasteurella.
1902Nature 29 May 120/1 The name pasteurelloses is applied to a group of diseases of the same type, including typhoid fever and pneumonia of the horse, chicken cholera and hæmorrhagic septicæmia of the sheep, ox, and pig. 1913H.
