‖ paræsthesia, -esthesia Path.|pærɛs-, -iːsˈθiːsɪə| [f. para-1 ‘disordered’ + Gr. αἴσθησις perception, sensation: see æsthesis.] Disordered or perverted sensation; a hallucination of any of the senses. Also ‖ paræsˈthesis; hence paræsthetic |-ˈθɛtɪk|, of, pertaining to, or affected with paræsthesia.
