papyrotype|pəˈpaɪərəʊtaɪp| [f. papyro- + type.] Name given to a modification of photolithography, devised by Captain Abney, in which the picture is first printed on a sensitized gelatin film supported on paper, and afterwards transferred to a lithographic stone or to zinc.
