▪ I. † ˈpapey Obs. Also pappey. [app. a deriv. of L. pāpa pope.] A fraternity of priests in Aldgate ward, London, or their residence.
1598Stow Surv. 110 Then come you to the Pappey, a proper house, wherein sometime was kept a Fraternitie, or brotherhood of S. Charitie, and S.
