An adherent or supporter of appropriation; in Hindu Philos. One who holds that the soul is an appropriation of the being of Brahma.

An exponent of appropriation (see appropriation n.); an artist who reworks the images or styles contained in earlier works of art, esp. in order to provoke re-evaluation by presenting them in a new context, or to challenge notions of individual creativity and authenticity in art. Also (in extended use) of a film director, musician, etc., adopting this technique.
