palinodic, a. Gr. Pros.|pælɪˈnɒdɪk| [ad. Gr. παλινῳδικ-ός, f. παλινῳδία: see palinody and -ic. In mod.F. palinodique.] Applied to verse in which two ‘systems’ of corresponding form, as a strophe and antistrophe, are separated by two others also of corresponding form but different from the former.
