palatalize, v. Phonetics.|ˈpælətəlaɪz| [f. palatal + -ize.] trans. To render palatal; to modify into a palatal sound; esp., to change the gutturals k, g, etc., into (c, ɟ), etc., by advancing the point of contact between tongue and palate.
