A palace, or a country seat, or an official building (in Spain or the Spanish-speaking territories in the Americas); also, the name of a specific building, as the former residence of the Spanish and Mexican governors in Santa Fe, New Mexico, or the former hunting-lodge of the Spanish kings in the Coto Doñana, Sevilla.
