ozonosphere Meteorol.|əʊˈzəʊnəʊsfɪə(r)| [f. ozone + -o + sphere n.] The region of the atmosphere where there is a significant concentration of ozone, at an altitude of 10 to 50 km. (6–30 miles); esp. the part between about 20 and 25 km (12–15 miles) where the concentration is greatest.
