† ˈoxycrate Obs. Also 6–8 oxicrate, 7 oxicrat, 7–8 oxycrat. [ad. Gr. ὀξύκρᾱτ-ον, f. ὀξυ- acid + -κρᾱτος (in comp.) mixed.] A mixture of vinegar and water.
