osteopetrosis Path.|ɒstiːəʊpɛˈtrəʊsɪs| [f. osteo- + L. petra, Gr. πέτρα rock + -osis.] A rare hereditary disease in man in which there is excessive formation of dense trabecular bone with resulting brittleness; also, any similar disease of animals.
