Ossi, n. colloq. (sometimes depreciative).|ˈɒsɪ| Pl. Ossies. Ossis. [a. G. Ossi (prob. an abbrev. of Ostdeutsche), f. Ost east.] A term used in Germany (esp. since reunification) to denote a citizen of the former German Democratic Republic; an East German. Cf. *Wessi n.
