‖ osphradium Zool.|ɒsˈfreɪdɪəm| [mod.L., a. Gr. ὀσϕράδιον strong scent, dim. of ὄσϕρα smell.] The olfactory organ of some molluscs, consisting of a collection of elongated sense-cells over each gill. Hence osˈphradial a., of or pertaining to the osphradium.
