orthorhombic, a. Cryst.|ɔːθəʊˈrɒmbɪk| [f. ortho- ‘right’ + rhombic.] Applied to that system of crystalline forms in which the three axes are mutually at right angles and unequal; also called rectangular, prismatic, trimetric, or orthosymmetric.
