orphenadrine Pharm.|ɔːˈfɛnədriːn| [f. ortho- + -phenadrine (contraction of diphenhydramine).] A bitter-tasting ortho-methyl derivative of diphenhydramine used (as its white crystalline citrate or hydrochloride) as an antispasmodic, esp. in the treatment of Parkinsonism; (CH3C6H4)CH(C6H5)·O·CH2CH2N(CH3)2.
