omomyid, n. and a. Palæont.|ˌəʊməʊˈmaɪɪd| [f. mod.L. Omomyidæ, f. the generic name Omomys: see -id3.] A. n. An extinct tarsiiform primate belonging to the family Omomyidae, known from Palaeogene fossil remains found in North America and Europe. B. adj. Of, pertaining to, or resembling an animal of this kind.
