Sci., etc., Odorin, one of the products of the redistillation of the volatile oil obtained by distilling bone; it has a very concentrated and diffusible empyreumatic odour, and is regarded by Unverdorben as a peculiar salifiable base. 1846Worcester, Odorine. 1866–72Watts Dict. Chem. IV. 174 Odorine, a volatile base obtained by Unverdorben from bone-oil. It appears to have been impure picoline. |
