odorant, a. and n.|ˈəʊdərənt| [a. F. odorant (15–16th c. in Godef.), ad. L. odōrānt-em, pr. pple. of odōrāre to perfume.] A. adj. That emits a scent: = odorous, odoriferous. Now rare.
