norethynodrel Pharm.|nɔːrɛˈθɪnədrɪl| [f. nor- + ethane + -yne + -odrel, of unknown origin.] A synthetic hormone, C20H26O2, with actions and uses similar to those of norethisterone, with which it is isomeric.
