non-scene, a. colloq. (chiefly Brit., esp. in gay and lesbian usage). Brit. |nɒnˈsiːn|, U.S. |ˈnɑnˈsin| [‹ non- prefix + scene n.] Of a homosexual: not inclined to participate in the gay or lesbian social scene; that does not frequent gay or lesbian bars, clubs, etc. Chiefly in the language of personal advertisements.
