‖ nolle prosequi Law.|ˈnɒlɪ ˈprɒsəkwaɪ| Also 7–8 noli, 9 nolo. [L., ‘to be unwilling to pursue’.] An entry made upon the record of a court, when the plaintiff or prosecutor abandons part, or all, of his suit or prosecution against a defendant or defendants. Also (quot. 1971) joc.
