ningyoite Min.|ˈnɪŋgjəʊaɪt| [f. Ningyo, the name of a pass in Tottori Prefecture, Japan + -ite1.] A hydrated phosphate of calcium and uranium, CaUiv(PO4)2.i½H2O, in which there is some replacement of uranium by lanthanons and which is found as brown or brownish-green orthorhombic crystals.
