nikethamide Pharm.|nɪˈkɛθəmaɪd| [f. nicotinic acid diethylamide, its chemical name, by alteration.] A colourless or yellowish oily liquid or crystalline solid, (C5H4N)CON(CH2CH3)2, which is used as a respiratory stimulant and analeptic.
