nihilist|ˈnaɪhɪlɪst, ˈnɪ-| [f. as prec. + -ist. Cf. F. nihiliste (1797), Sp. nihilista, It. nichilista, G. nihilist, Russ. nigilist.] 1. One who holds the doctrine of nihilism in philosophy or religion.
