night letter [f. night n. + letter n.1] a. In full night telegraph letter, a cheap-rate inland telegram delivered overnight. (Said in the 1945 P.O. Guide ‘to be suspended’. The similar overnight telegram service was introduced in 1955.) Cf. lettergram.
