[Hindi, lit. ‘prince of dancers’, f. Skr. naṭa dancer, actor + rājan prince, king (see raja).]
A name of Siva, the Hindu god of creation and dissolution, in his role as lord of the dance, when he symbolizes cosmic energy. Also, a figure depicting Siva as lord of the dance.
