nastic, a. Bot.|ˈnæstɪk| [a. G. nastisch (E. Strasburger Lehrbuch der Botanik (ed. 6, 1904) I. ii. 221), f. Gk. ναστ-ός pressed together + -ic.] Of movements of parts of plants: uninfluenced by the direction of an external stimulus.
