nalbuphine, n. Pharm.|ˈnælbjuːfiːn| [f. nalorphine n. with inserted butyl n.] A synthetic narcotic, C2H27NO4 , which is very similar to morphine in chemical structure and is given by injection (usually as the hydrochloride) as an analgesic.
