† ˈnable Obs. rare. Also 6 nabal. [ad. L. nablum (Vulg.; nablium, Ovid), ad. Gr. νάβλα, prob. of Phœnician origin, and so identical with Heb. nēbel which it is used to translate.] A Jewish instrument of music: see nebel.
