muishond S. Afr.|ˈmœishɔnt| Also 9 mausehund, mousehund. [Afrikaans, f. muis mouse n. + hond dog; cf. mouse-hunt1.] The Cape polecat, Ictonyx striatus, which is black with white stripes, or one of several species of mongoose. Also fig.
