morinite, n. Min.|ˈmɒrɪnaɪt| [a. F. morinite (A. Lacroix 1891, in Bull. Soc. Min. XIV. 189), f. the name of Morineau, director of the mine at Montebras, France, where it was first found.] A hydrated basic fluophosphate of sodium, calcium, and aluminium, NaCa2Al2(PO4)2 (OH)F4.2H2O , occurring as colourless, white, or pale pinkish monoclinic crystals and red lamellar masses.
