morganize, v. U.S.|ˈmɔːgənaɪz| [f. Morgan, proper name + -ize.] ‘To assassinate secretly, in order to prevent or punish disclosures, as the Freemasons were said to have done in the case of William Morgan in 1826’ (Cent. Dict. 1890).
