▪ I. † ˈmollet, n. Sc. Obs. Also 6 molet, mol(l)at. [a. OF. molete spur-rowel, also an ornamental stud imitating this: see mullet. Cf. molan.] (? Originally, a boss or stud on a bridle-bit. Hence:) A studded or toothed bit for a horse; also mollet bit. Also mollet-bridle, a bridle having a bit of this kind (rendering L. frenum lupatum).
