millefiore|mɪlɪfɪˈɔərɪ| Also -fiori. [a. It. millefiori, f. mille thousand + fiori pl. of fiore flower.] (Also millefiore glass.) A kind of ornamental glass made by fusing together a number of glass rods of different sizes and colours, and cutting the mass into sections which exhibit ornamental figures of varying pattern, and are usually embedded in colourless transparent glass to make paper-weights, etc.
