▪ I. miliary, a. (and n.)|ˈmɪlɪərɪ| [ad. L. miliārius pertaining to millet, f. milium mill n.2, millet1: see -ary.] 1. Phys. and Path. Resembling a millet-seed in size or form; resembling an aggregation of millet-seeds. miliary gland: one of the sebaceous glands of the skin. miliary tubercle: a greyish-white spherical body about the size of a millet-seed, common in diseased tissues of the lungs and in the membrane of the brain.
