micromere Embryology.|ˈmaɪkrəʊmɪə(r)| [f. Gr. µικρό-ς small + µέρος part.] The smaller of the two masses into which the vitellus of the developing ovum of Lamellibranchiata divides (cf. macromere). Hence ˈmicromeral, microˈmeric adjs., of or pertaining to the micromere.
