Meroite, n. and a.|ˈmɛrəʊˌaɪt| [f. Mero-ë (see Meroitic a. and n.) + -ite1.] A. n. An inhabitant of the ancient Nubian kingdom of Meroë. B. adj. Of or pertaining to this kingdom.
